We hit the road in August and went to visit family in Buffalo. The girls did great in the car, we only had to stop once each way. (Not counting the two quick stops we had to make on the side of the road because Maddie got car sick!) My cousin Katie graduated from high school and we went to her graduation/going off to college party at Club Woj (that's what we call my Aunt Joanne's house with the pool and hot tub). I was terrible about taking pictures, but did manage to get one of my Grandma with Emersyn. Too bad she was hungry and tired and on her way to bed, hence the face!
Here is a sweet picture of Emmie and Great Aunt Mary Beth
Chris got a hold of the camera and took some goofy pictures of Maddie and a cpuple of Emersyn and me snuggling!
Thanks to the Woj family for having us and for a great weekend!
We had Chris's friend from work over for dinner last night and he is leaving for Seattle today. As he was leaving, I was giving Maddie a bath upstairs. Here's how the conversation went:
Chris's friend: "See ya Kelly, thanks for dinner!"
Me: "Ok, bye, have a great trip!"
Maddie: "Where's he going?"
Me: "He's going to Seattle."
Maddie: "Who's Attle?"
I just couldn't resist taking a picture of this the other night. Emersyn was so content and you can see she is really filling out! The first picture reminds me of a picture of me as a baby that we affectionately refer to as the "bulldog picture". Emmie looks cuter than I did :)
And here are said "bulldog pictures" courtesy of my Dad and a scanner!
Maddie had quite a birthday (or should I say birth week) this year. We celebrated with our families on Saturday, she had an overnight at Grandma and Grandpa's on Sunday, went shopping with Grandma and had a little party with them on Monday, went to the waterpark and County fair with us on Tuesday (her actual birthday), and then had a party at a park with friends. I don't know who was more tired after it all, me or her! We wanted to make sure this year she felt special on her day given the new baby in the house and I think we succeeded. She had a Strawberry Shortcake party and the girls were decked out in their strawberry themed outfits for both parties. It's so much fun dressing two girls now. It's hard to believe that Maddie is 4, but she does seem so big now compared to little Emmie! Some days it seems like she's 4, going on 14. But she's still our little girl and we love her so much!
Here are pictures from the family celebration
And some cute ones from the party with her friends
