Shuffle off to Buffalo!

We took our first road trip with Maddie up to Buffalo to see my grandparents in April. They finally got to meet her! My grandpa had just gotten home from the hospital the week before and it was great to see him getting around at home. Madeline was spoiled of course by Uncle Mark who got her some cool new Fisher Price toys. It's great to have connections :) He's a designer at Fisher Price. We all had a great time and Maddie loved playing with her cousins. We miss everyone already!

"Here Great Grandpa, try these Cheerios!"

"Can I play with that tube?"

Happy Easter

We hope everyone had a Blessed Easter! We had such a nice weekend with both of our families. Easter Sunday we went to church with Chris's family and Maddie was such a good girl (with a little help from some Cheerios...thank you General Mills). Aunt Samie was home from college for the weekend, so Maddie had fun with her and Aunt Kim. Below are some pictures from Sunday.

"I thought this holiday had an Easter Bunny....Is this Santa Clause? Oh, no it's just you Grandpa!"

The day before Easter, we went up to Pennsylvania to my Nana's house and spent the day with Great Nana, Aunt Lorraine and her family, and my Uncle Billy and cousin Patrick. It was great to see everyone. We missed you Patti and Greg :(

Crawling and Cherry Blossoms

Well this has been an eventful and exciting week for Maddie. After rocking on her hands and knees for about a month, she finally figured out how to move herself forward and crawl! She's still a little slow and jerky, but I'm sure within a week she'll be all over the place. Now we REALLY need to put up those baby gates!

Tuesday was a beautiful day and we started off the day meeting Jennie (my college roommate) for lunch. Then my mom, Maddie and I went for a LONG walk from Arlington Cemetery, over the Memorial Bridge, and around the Tidal Basin to see the cherry blossoms. Some of the pictures have the Jefferson Memorial in the background and the ones by the waterfall are the FDR Memorial. The cute hat was a gift from Nana and Grandpa. They got it in Florida at a children's shop called "Nana's". How perfect! As you can see in the last picture, Maddie was pretty worn out after it all. She was a trooper though and we had a great day!

Pictures, Pictures, and more Pictures!

I recently took Maddie to get new portraits taken for Easter. She was so happy and we had a blast! They took so many pictures, it was hard to choose. Here are some of my favorites. The adorable frog/bunny was a gift from Mary's (Geordie's fiance) parents John and Jean. Maddie loves it!
