Mother's Day

We had a family-filled Mother's Day weekend.  As it should be.  We spent Saturday afternoon at my Nana's house.  Aunt Rere was in town and we had a great time hanging out with everyone.  The highlight of my day was seeing my aunts Lorraine and Marie and my mom jump rope.  These gals never age, I swear.  They were my fun aunts when I was growing up and they are still the fun aunts for all the kids! 

 



The morning of Mother's Day, we decided to give Emersyn her first haircut.  Chris did the honors for Madeline's first haircut, so I decided to be brave and do it this time.  It didn't look much different, but I did it!

 

 

 

On Sunday, Mother's Day, we kept up our annual tradition and all met at the winery again.  We got lucky yet again with beautiful weather.  Not much to say except we are so lucky to have both our families so close and lucky that we get to all spend time together.  Here are lots of pictures!

Spring Softball

Madeline has always done well in the backyard playing baseball since she was little.  So we signed up for t-ball this Spring.  She started off a little slow, seeming to have a hard time swinging the heavy bat. But by the end of the season, she really improved.  It is pretty funny to watch the girls at this age.  They hit the ball and then it takes about 4 adults yelling "run, run, run" and pointing the girls in the direction of 1st base to get them to do the right thing.  Although she had fun, when I asked her if she would like to do it again in the Fall, her reply was, "No.  I don't really want to do t-ball again.  It makes my underwear sweaty." Really?!  I guess it's not her thing.
