Crawling and Cherry Blossoms

Well this has been an eventful and exciting week for Maddie. After rocking on her hands and knees for about a month, she finally figured out how to move herself forward and crawl! She's still a little slow and jerky, but I'm sure within a week she'll be all over the place. Now we REALLY need to put up those baby gates!

Tuesday was a beautiful day and we started off the day meeting Jennie (my college roommate) for lunch. Then my mom, Maddie and I went for a LONG walk from Arlington Cemetery, over the Memorial Bridge, and around the Tidal Basin to see the cherry blossoms. Some of the pictures have the Jefferson Memorial in the background and the ones by the waterfall are the FDR Memorial. The cute hat was a gift from Nana and Grandpa. They got it in Florida at a children's shop called "Nana's". How perfect! As you can see in the last picture, Maddie was pretty worn out after it all. She was a trooper though and we had a great day!

Of Course!!! Straight for the remote!! I've got an idea for the CTC... Forget buying new toys, Suzan should just bring in a bunch of remotes for the babies/kids. Seriously, that's all babies seem to want! That and phones!!!

And, uh, she's not THAT slow, I bet by the time you posted this she's getting around pretty quickly!

Love the cherry blossom pics, you all look beautiful!!!

What progress! Watching Maddie grow so quickly makes me think we'll need a bigger house sooner than I thought!

Gorgeous photos too!
