Maddie had a great birthday this year. She had camp in the morning, which gave me a chance to get everything all set up for her tea party. The tea party was a hit! I found such cute stuff online so all the girls got matching hats and purses and Grandma Mary brought boas. They girls were quite fancy. It was a sweet group of girls and everything was perfect!
Celebration #2: The day after her birthday, we had our parents over to celebrate. What a lucky girl!
And we are very lucky to be Maddie's mom and dad.
Can't believe how fast she's gone from this...
to this...
Maddie continues to be our little chatterbox. She has lots to say, all the time. I am grateful for this. Most of the time. She tells us lots of good stuff, but also still talks a lot of "pretend" as well. "Pretend I am a puppy" or "which Pokemon do you want to be Mommy?" are heard several times a day right now. She loves all things animals and pets and can't have enough stuffed animals. She is caring and curious. Her sister can push her buttons like no one else, but she adores Emmie and feels very responsible for teaching her to do the right thing. Sometimes we need to remind her that she is not the mommy though. She is sensitive, yet also strong and brave. She loves to play with both girls and boys and can go from playing princess dress-up to playing Pokemon in a flash. She is unique and she makes us very proud. We love you Madeve!
